Zack Snyder Releases The Trailer For His Version Of 'Justice League' Set To Be Released In Four Parts

I can't believe its 2020 and we're still talking about the first Justice League movie, but here we are. After Zack Snyder was replaced by Joss Whedon on the original JL movie it was clear the movie's final product was not what the original director had intended. From Henry Cavill's strangely deleted mustache, to a whole new color palette to some scenes, Snyder fans were left wondering what the original version would've looked like. Now they've finally got their wish after months of lobbying for its release on social media and even getting involvement from the film's cast themselves, the film will be released in four one hour parts on HBO Max next year.

Below is the trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League:

The trailer shows off many of the deleted scenes and aspects of the movie that never made into Whedon's version, specifically the actual appearance of Darkseid. While he's mentioned as a looming threat in the original movie, here we actually see a flashback scene to Darkseid before he gets his omega power. This scene was actually in the theatrical cut but featured Steppenwolf instead of Darkseid fighting off armies of Atlanteans, Amazonians, and Green Lanterns for the mother boxes in the past. Its rumored this actual fight scene will be much longer in Snyder's version. There's also Steppenwolf's very different look which is similar to the design Snyder used in the deleted scene from Batman v. Superman which featured the character.

Then there's of course all the things we had heard about over time such as the black suited Superman, many more Cyborg scenes and his actual backstory, and the Flash scene featuring Iris West. Snyder confirmed we'll be getting to see Flash actually time travel in this version, and it will likely connect to the Darkseid ravaged future we see in the trailer and saw in Batman v. Superman. This may also finally connect to the scene where Flash come back to warn Bruce in BVS, a scene which still has yet to be given an explanation in the MCU but was likely a part of Snyder's plans.

As far as what was added by Whedon and won't be in this version of the movie, we know several of the comedy scenes including those between Bruce Wayne and Barry and some of Ben Affleck's lines during the fight against Superman won't be in the movie. We also know Cyborg and Barry won't have their moment bonding when they dig up Superman's grave, as it appears Cyborg is now doing that alone in a much more dramatic scene. Meanwhile Flash may be busy during this time time traveling to the Darkseid post apocalyptic future and to warn Bruce of Superman becoming evil. Evil Superman was a brief moment that was taken care of quickly in the Whedon version, but here it'll likely be a much larger storyline with Darkseid using the anti-matter equation on him which is what leads to the scene we saw in Batman v. Superman during Bruce's visions.

First Official Trailer For 'The Batman' Premieres At DC Fandome And Shows Off His Second Year Under The Cowl

Something just didn't feel right for comic book movie fans this summer. Between our usual summer releases and Comic-Con announcement, the time span between May and August has almost become comic book Christmas. Thankfully DC has still managed to bring us some excitement amidst the Covid 19 pandemic, with their own version of a virtual Comic-Con known as DC Fandome. The event brought us several video game announcements, as well as sneak peaks of upcoming movies like the Snyder Cut of Justice League, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, Shazam 2, Wonder Woman 1984, and of course the grand finale of the first trailer for Matt Reeves' The Batman.

Below is the first trailer for The Batman:

From the start of the trailer the masked man we're seeing taping up his victim is actually Paul Dano's Riddler, which is of course very different from his over top hat and cane look from the comics. Reeves' here seems to be taking a page out of Nolan's book, moving away from the comic look for a more modern and realistic look for the character. This also is a huge divergence from the looks Zack Snyder was going for with his world and Ben Affleck's Batman, which by all accounts was visually much closer to the aesthetic of the comics. We also get a good look at his smaller Batmobile and Batcave, which all just add to the darker more realistic feel especially for a much younger inexperienced Batman.

You may not have realized The Penguin is also in this trailer, and Colin Farrell looks unrecognizable as the character under all the makeup and facial prosthetics. Its hard to tell how important he'll be to the story as he's probably just still Oswald Cobblepott here, but we do see him in a chase scene with Batman. Matt Reeves' has revealed the movie will focus on the corruption of the Gotham PD which may tie into Cobblepott as well as Jeffrey Wright's Commissioner Gordon who already clearly has a relationship with Batman here. The Riddler seems to have a vendetta against them but has also clearly singled out Batman and wants his attention as scene with the uni-bomber scene at the funeral, and the riddle he left for him on the card.

Zoe Kravitz' Catwoman is also seen is a very early version of her suit, so its likely she's just getting started around the same time as Batman. The two share fight scene in the trailer but its hard to tell how important she'll be, and if she'll be on Batman or Riddler side. The movie seems to be following a Long Halloween style of storyline with The Riddler creating this elaborate plot for Batman and him having to use his detective skills to get the bottom of things. Reeves also confirmed several things including the fact the show will take place in year two of Batman's career, it will tie into the Gotham PD series he's developing for HBO Max, and it will have no connection to any of the previous DC movies.

New Trailer For Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' Confirms The Movie Will Hit Theaters At Some Point

Movie fans had many projects they were looking forward to seeing this summer, but one of its staples was going to be a new time travel film from Christopher Nolan. But of course the COVID-19 pandemic has made the chances of the film's release in theaters this July seem less and less likely, but the director who has been vocal about wanting audiences to see his movies on the big screen had been persistent Tenet will still get that very treatment. The movie still holds it July 17th release date while other big project have completely vacated the next three months of release dates, but it still remains unclear if it will eventually be moved as well.

As for the film itself it definitely gives off a vibe most similar to Nolan's classic Inception, but this time dealing with inversion and time travel rather than dreams. Nolan is well known for not giving away too much about the movie's plot in his trailers, so of course its hard to really figure out everything going on here (Which makes it really hard to right an article about, but I'll give it a shot). What we do know is John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman) will be the main protagonist who is being brought in to learn about these methods of time travel through experts like Elizabeth Debicki and Robert Pattinson's characters.

Like Inception, it seems that the film will see a sort of team of characters form including Debicki, Pattinson, Michael Caine, and Himesh Patel (Yesterday). Nolan has once again assembled an impressive ensemble of young actors here, and really has only brought back one of his frequent collaborators with Caine. Kenneth Branagh will clearly be playing the movie's main villain who is a Russian bent on starting World War III, and who wants to acquire the Tenet technology. 

We also get a look at some major action set pieces, including a chase scene in a theater that feels like it came right of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. There's also the car chase scene where time is reversed that we saw in the first trailer, as well as a scenes of a plane being crashed into a building which Pattinson's character jokes about at the end. Knowing Nolan's love of practical effects, it shouldn't come as a surprise that most of these scenes are real and just make the movie even more appealing to film fanatics.

New Trailer For Martin Scorsese's 'The Irishman' Puts De-aged De Niro, Pacino, And Pesci On Full Display

Mafia movie fans and cinephiles have been waiting for the release of Martin Scorsese's upcoming project The Irishman, which unites heavy hitter De Niro, Pacino, Keitel, and Pesci together for the first time on screen. But thing haven't exactly gone smoothly with the movies release, with issues over the movies cinematic release as well as the extensive technology used to de-age the actors all leading to years of delays. Well after the long wait its finally happening, and The Irishman will be hitting theaters and Netflix this November just in time for the award season. The new trailer gives us not only a better idea of the film's plot and relationship between its characters, but also shows off the controversial de-aging used on the main stars.

The first trailer for The Irishman released a month ago didn't get nearly as positive a reaction as this one, with some even being concerned Scorsese may have a flop on his hands. Thankfully this trailer seems to be a lot of those doubts at rest, and shows off the relationship between each of the characters. We know De Niro will be the main lead of Frank Sheeran who is hired as a hitman for the Bufalino crime family, led by Russell who's played by Pesci. The story is told for Sheeran's perspective as he recounts his life and what he did for the Bufalinos. We also see Pacino as Jimmy Hoffa, as labor leader who De Niro is assigned to take out.

The Irishman reunites Scorsese with Pesci and De Niro who he worked with on Goodfellas and Casino, but marks the first time the director works with Pacino. Other big names involved are Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Graham amongst others. The movie is already getting great buzz after its first screening for critics last night, with the de-aging technology being complemented and the film hailed as one of Scorsese's best in years. There's a strong chance we could see the movie make a big mark at the Oscars this year if this praise continues and with so many big names involved.

First Trailer For 'IT: Chapter Two' Unites The Adult Loser Club For One Final Stand Against Pennywise

The 2017 adaption of Stephen King's book IT caught audiences by surprise, and became a blockbuster film in the horror genre. Riding off the success of Stranger Things, the movie played off the young group of kids as they tried to survive against Pennywise the Clown. But any fans of the book knew what was coming next, and director Andy Muschietti's decision to have the movie only focus on the kid versions of the Losers Club left the door open for a very interesting sequel. Just like in the book, IT: Chapter Two will see the group reunited as adult and returning to their small town of Derry to once again face the evil clown now that he has made his return.

Below is the first trailer for IT: Chapter Two:

The scene in the trailer focuses on the adult Beverly Marsh (Played by Jessica Chastain) returning to her childhood home which is now seemingly owned by an older lady. Of course this lady isn't what she initially appears, and sure enough she may very well be Pennywise in disguise or another creature he's controlling. We all see an photo reminiscent of The Shining of a human Pennywise (Played by Bill Skarsgard), who this older woman claims to be a decedent of. This scene was the very same one shown to audiences at Cinema Con a few months ago, and certainly sets a scarier and creepier tone than the first movie. One of the main complaints with that film is that it leaned more toward a coming of age movie than horror at times, with only a few really bringing the scares.

We then get several shots of the adults reuniting, minus Andy Bean's adult version of Stanley who we know meets a fatal end early in the story of the book. We see horror go-to-man James McAvoy as the adult Bill who seems to still harbor feelings for Beverly, as well as Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, James Ransone as Eddie, Jay Ryan as Ben, and Bill Hader as Richie. We also see callbacks to the first film such as when Beverly finds the love letter Ben anonymously wrote to her when they were kids, so its possible those story threads may also be explored further in the film.

To the delight of movie goers, it seems that the movie will also be bringing by the young cast (Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Wyatt Oleff) we all fell in love with from the first movie. There's several shots of the young Losers Club in the trailer, so its likely that Muschietti and co. have added in some new story elements and flashbacks from that time period after seeing how good of a reception they got in the first movie. Its hard to tell just how much we'll be seeing of them yet, but we do know the adult version of group will still be the central focus of this film's story.

'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Trailer Gives Fans A Spoiler Filled Look At A Post 'Endgame' MCU

With Avengers: Endgame now having been out for two weeks and the amount of box office records it has broken, you'd think pretty much everyone that wants to see the movie has. The Russo Brothers have still been big on not letting any spoilers leak online from fans who have already seen the movie, but revealed that ban would be lifted this Monday. Well now we know why. Marvel has released an all new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, which will be the first post Endgame film in the MCU. Those who have seen the movie know just how much it has changed the landscape of things, and has left us all wondering what the future holds for this series of movies. Well this trailer definitely answers some of those questions.

So unlike the last trailer for Far From Home which held back on anything post Endgame, this trailers makes it pretty clear Peter has been affected by the lose of Tony Stark. With Iron Man no longer around there seems to be a big void left for a new hero to step up, and we also know Steve Rogers is no longer active in this universe but that isn't brought up in the trailer. We see many memorials for Iron Man throughout the movie that were obviously made by people grateful for his sacrifice to defeat Thanos and bring everyone back from The Snap. We also get many parallels between Peter and Tony is this trailer, including his banter and mentorship from Nick Fury and Happy Hogan, and even some shots of him using what appears to be tech he left behind for Peter.

Speaking of mentors, we see that Mysterio is someone Spider-Man may see as a new fellow hero he can look up to and team up with in the same way he did with Iron Man. We also know the two are well aware of each others secret identities, and even share a deep conversation in a bar about regular life problems. But probably the biggest reveal from the trailer is that Mysterio is actually from another dimension, which officially opens up the idea that the multi-verse exists in the MCU. This apparently happened as a repercussion of The Avengers traveled to alternate universes and timelines in Endgame, and caused a hole in Mysterio's universe that led to the arrival of Beck and The Elementals.

This is a very big reveal for MCU fans, as this opens up the possibilities to several different universes and versions of characters existing and being able to crossover into the main timeline. This could be a set up for future events such as the arrival of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, or even realities with different Spider-Mans which we recently saw in Sony's Spider-Verse animated movie. Now fans are still quick to not trust Mysterio's character who is a villain in the comics, and there is the possibility he's lying that he's from another universe to gain the trust of Peter, Maria Hill, and Fury. There's also the idea there may be two versions of Mysterio, one who is bad in our timeline and the good one who we see brought in by Fury. Whether Mysterio is lying or not there definitely may be more to this than meets the eye, but it seems the multiverse is a real thing either way.

Trailer For 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' Has Luke Remind Us No One Is Ever Really Gone

Regardless of how you feel about the direction the new Star Wars trilogy has taken, there's still no denying the excitement of watching a trailer for the next installment. After some divisive twists were made in Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi, J.J. Abrams is now back at the helm for the last installment of the trilogy he helped create. We had no idea what the ninth episode would be about other than a few unconfirmed leaks, but we now have our first footage and title for the movie thanks to Star Wars Celebration. With Disney planning on taking a hiatus from Star Wars movies following the release of Episode XI, it seems they really want to end the Skywalker Saga on a high note.

Below is the first trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker:

Before we even get into the actual trailer, the title of the movie itself seems to be a lot less broad than some of the previous ones. Having said that its still completely open to interpretation, as its hard to tell which Skywalker the title is referring to. We know Luke will be featured in the movie despite meeting his end in Last Jedi as he has new lines of dialogue to Rey in the trailer, but this will most likely be in the form of a force ghost. It could also be referring to Kylo Ren aka Ben Solo, who himself is technically a Skywalker and could finally receive his redemption. And then there is of course the possibility Rey is a Skywalker after all, despite the scene in Last Jedi saying otherwise.

The trailer itself doesn't give too much away in terms of plot, but we do know the trio of Poe, Rey, and Finn will finally all be together on a mission this time around rather than scattered. J.J. Abrams has confirmed a significant amount of time has passed since Last Jedi when The Rise of Skywalker starts off, and we see Kylo Ren has had time to repair his helmet. Carrie Fisher is seen in the trailer despite her passing two years ago, and we know footage is being used from deleted scene from the previous two movies to continue Leia's story arc here. We also get our first look at the return of Lando alongside Chewie in the Millennium Falcon, but its still unknown how he will factor into the plot and how they run into him in the first place. 

But probably the biggest reveal of the entire trailer is the laugh at the end, which belongs to none other than The Emperor himself Palpatine. As Star Wars fans will remember, Palpatine was featured heavily in the prequels and original trilogy, but had seemingly met his end in Return of the Jedi. Well it looks like that wasn't the case, as the voiceover by Luke about how "no one is ever really gone" seems to fit perfectly with this. We also see the gang looking at the remnants of the Deathstar, which could be the original one where The Emperor died. Its certainly a surprising reveal as many of us had believed Snoke would be taking the place of The Emperor as the larger evil behind the curtain, but that went out the window after his death in Last Jedi. Ian McDiarmid made an appearance at Star Wars Celebration to even confirm his return to the role, so its just a matter of how he's going to pull it off.

First Trailer For Joaquin Phoenix And Todd Phillips' Take On 'Joker' Teases A Scorsese-Esque Tragedy

As DC is excited to release its family friendly film Shazam! this weekend, its hard to believe the same studio is bringing us a project as dark as Todd Phillip's Joker later this year. The studio has made it clear this film has no relation to their current cinematic universe, and have promised a dark character piece set in the 1980s. With set photos already dropping of method actor Joaquin Phoenix in his full Joker make-up, fans have already been quick to move on from Jared Leto's infamous take on the Clown Prince of Crime as they look forward to this new film. The trailer delivers on everything we've expected, and may even already have some viewers talking Oscar buzz.

Below is the first trailer for Joker:

The trailer makes it very clear that this isn't your average comic book movie, and is mostly stripped of any big action scenes. The movie will instead focus on the demise of Phoenix's character Arthur Fleck into the Joker, and the things that happen to him that make him reach that breaking point. The origin story of the Joker is one that has been shrouded in mystery for years, but this one seems to be taking some beats from the comics. Like in The Killing Joke comic, Fleck will be a failed stand-up comedian here. This also might come full circle when we see him on stage behind a curtain for a talk show hosted by De Niro's character, where he finally gets the fame he wanted from actually becoming Joker.

Phillips and Phoenix both look to making Joker a much more sympathetic character here, which is a drastic departure from the maniac we're used to seeing on screen. The story will apparently explore Fleck's relationship with his obviously sick mother (Played by Frances Conroy) who seems to be his motivation through his daily hardships in telling him to always put on a "happy face". Phoenix performance already looks like one to keep any eye on for when award season comes around, but of course that all depends on how good the movie is. In this trailer alone we're able to see him play the nice guy struggling with mental illness with some creepy undertones, and then a much more confident man under the makeup once he's transformed into Joker. 

The trailer alone has already drawn a lot of comparisons to Scorsese's past films including Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, and The King of Comedy. While Phillips is directing, Scorsese is still involved with the project as a producer and his influence shows. There's several references Batman fans will take notice of including Thomas Wayne on a TV screen condoning Joker's actions and the apparent chaos he has caused by inspiring copy cat clowns. Joker seems to have strong feelings towards the rich going off what he has written in his diary, so its likely Wayne is one of his targets given his high status and that he's running for Mayor of Gotham. We actually even see Fleck pre-Joker interact with a young Bruce Wayne at what appears to be the gates of Wayne Manor, so this may be a sign Fleck is stalking Thomas Wayne earlier in the story.

The Heroes Take The Fight Back To Thanos And Tony And Steve Make Up In A New 'Avengers: Endgame' Trailer

We're in the endgame now. With just a few weeks away from its release, the hype for the Avengers sequel has really started to pick up. Marvel has been pushing their marketing campaign that has included posters for each of the fallen heroes we lost in the last movie, and some TV spots showing off the team in their Quantum Realm suits. We thought we had seen just as much footage as the Russo brothers were going to get, but apparently they're still willing to show us more. The latest trailer finally shows us Tony and Steve side by side after the events of Civil War, as well as the team heading to space to once again face off against the Mad Titan.

Below is the new trailer for Avengers: Endgame:

It does seem a bit surprising that the Russos would be willing to show so much new footage in a trailer so close to the film's release, especially one giving away some pretty key moments. We now know that the inevitable makeup between Iron Man and Cap happens and we've basically seen how it goes down, and we also know that Tony will be reunited with Pepper and the rest of the team at the Avengers base. Maybe things aren't as simple and resolvable as they seem to be in this trailer, as past marketing has teased Tony being stranded with Nebula in space pretty heavily.

We now know for sure that the team will be traveling to Thanos' new home to face him, most likely with the roster we see on board the Guardian's ship The Benatar. We see Cap, Black Widow, Rocket Raccoon, Captain Marvel, Thor, and War Machine. Noticeably absent are Iron Man and Nebula, so this could also be their rescue mission to go save them. We get a better look at Cap seemingly being defeated by Thanos again, which some fans have speculated might be the moment the character meets his end. If the Russos are to believed (Which sometimes we know they aren't) all of this takes place in the first fifteen minutes of the movie, which still leaves a lot of mystery over the rest of the movie's plot.

The trailer focuses much more of the rematch with Thanos and events directly following Infinity War more than anything else, which could be a bit of a misdirect for audiences. We do now however that somehow time travel and the Quantum Realm will be the solution to reversing the events of The Snap rather than actually facing Thanos. Pretty much all of that including any footage of the team in their Quantum Realm suits is noticeably absent from this trailer despite being included in past marketing.

Trailer For Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' Takes Us Back To The Golden Era Of Cinema

No matter how many times you hear it, it doesn't feel like masterful filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has only made eight movies in his impressive career so far. The director has always said he would retire at the end after his tenth movie, so that would make this year's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood his second to last. Tarantino might be aware that he's at the end too, because with this movie he seems to be going all out. As if partnering the like of Hollywood's two biggest leading men in Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio wasn't enough, he's also put together a stellar cast, and will be taking us back to the prime of the movie making capital of the world.

Below is the trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood:

The tone of the trailer itself may catch some people off guard, as it comes across as a more fun movie with no violence, something Tarantino is known for. For those who don't know the movie will some how incorporate the events of the 1969 Charles Manson murders, a cult leader who murder several people in Hollywood including actress Sharon Tate. Manson will actually be in the movie and is spotted in the trailer, and there will also be many members of his cult family, as well as other Hollywood actors and actresses involved in the events and who were Tate's neighbors.

Coming off two westerns, adapting real life events such as the Manson murders seems like a subject that would give Tarantino a lot less free reign than his past stories. But it seems as if the murders won't actually be in the main subject of the movie, and may just serve as something going on the backdrop of Tarantino's version of 1969 Hollywood. The director himself has actually stated this will be his own version of that time despite including several actual actors and directors from the period, so this may very will be his way of altering history like he did in Inglorious Basterds. Maybe the addition of DiCaprio and Pitt's fictional characters Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth may be what changes the course of these events.

Its worth noting the two main characters of the movie played by DiCaprio and Pitt or completely fictional, so this already shows Tarantino's freedom to alter that time period for our entertainment. Sharon Tate will apparently play a pivotal role, and is being played by Margot Robbie. Given the touchy subject, I wouldn't expect Tarantino to actually glorify or depict the actual murders on screen in the way some fans have expected. The trailer instead focuses more on our main characters and immersing us in how crazy Hollywood really was back then as Tarantino's tribute to the era, right down to a fighting lesson from Bruce Lee himself.

'Stranger Things' Season 3 Trailer Reminds Us The Group Has Really Grown Up Since Season 1

Its hard to believe its already been three years since we first met the kids of Hawkins on the Netflix series Stranger Things, and the series has become something of a cultural phenomenon since then. At has spawned career for many of its leading actors, who were only twelve when the show started production. So the trailer for season 3 which premieres this fourth of July almost feels like catching up with old friends, and an emphasize on the word old. The trailer doesn't shy away from the fact that its young leads of aged since they first showed up on screen together, and will explore that shift in adolescence with the backdrop of the usual sci-fi craziness they seem to attract.

Below is the trailer for Stranger Things Season 3:

As I stated above, the trailer focuses a lot more on the evolution of characters and their relationships with each other rather than giving away much of its plot. We know Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Mad Max (Sadie Sink) will blossom into a friendship, with some great scenes including a set taking place in the mall. We also get a hint that this season will focus on the theme of things changing for the group as they get older and aren't kids anymore, with Mike's (Finn Wolfhard) voiceover explaining that. This will apparently hit Will (Noah Schnapp) harder than the rest of the group as we see him holding a photo of the guys together in their Ghostbusters costumes. 

There's also of course the return of the bromance between Steve (Joe Keery) and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), as the former will be working at an ice cream shop at the mall we see will serve as an important setting. We also get the return of Max's brother Billy (Dacre Montgomery), who will be working as a lifeguard at the local pool and still flirting with Mike's mom. There's been some speculation that Billy could eventually turn into the creature we see later in the trailer after being possessed, but thats just fan fiction at this point. There were complaints that the second season of the show didn't do as much with the older teen characters, so seeing the involvement of Steve, Billy, Nancy (Natalie Dyer), and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) in the trailer is exciting.

Netflix hasn't been so loyal to some of their successful projects in the past such as the Marvel shows that were all canceled this past year, but it seems the Duffer Brothers are being given the freedom to fully develop their planned storyline for Stranger Things. While the cast is getting older, and there's only so many times we can see the Demogorgan attack Hawkins before its too much, season 3 might not be the conclusion to the series the trailer makes it feel it is. With the trailer already gathering hype from fans, and a return to summer release date, its looking like this season may very well give the first a run for its money.

'Toy Story 4' Trailer Teases Andy Flashbacks, New Characters, And A Possible Happy Ending For Woody

The Toy Story movies are a very important part of my childhood, having grown up seeing the first movie on VHS, the second movie with my cousins in theaters, and the third one just as I was about to finish middle school. It seemed as if the series had wrapped up just in time for my to put my kid years behind me, but I guess Pixar won't let me have that peace of mind. Instead they had to pull my college self back into the emotional attachment I had to these characters with this nostalgic trailer for Toy Story 4. A lot has changed since the first movie, with some characters gone and even more new ones being introduced here.

Fans of the franchise have already been quick to put out that this trailer follows a lot of the same beats as the previous three. Mainly the idea of either Woody or Buzz being separated by the group of toys, while the other leads a search to find them. Then there's the idea of life for the toys after the child has grown up, and the temptation of staying in a place where toys are always appreciated. This was an idea touched upon in Toy Story 3 and was one of the main ploys Lotso used to convince the toys to stay and Sunnyside Daycare, but in this case it seems Woody's former love Bo Peep will be the one doing the convincing. 

This will actually be the first time we really see what life is like for Woody, Buzz, and the gang now that they belong to Bonnie. There's also several new characters hinted at in the trailer, but the most important seems to be Forky who joins Woody on his adventure. We also see a stuntman toy voiced by Keanu Reeves, a pair of creepy ventriloquist dolls, and a pair of stuffed animals at the carnival voiced by Key and Peele. Forky (Voiced by Tony Hale) is the first toy we get in this universe who sort of crosses the line of what it means to be a toy, since he was technically created from scratch by Bonnie. This will apparently play into some identity issues with him, which could work similar to how Buzz couldn't grasp the concept he was just a toy in the first movie.

Its hard to see this movie getting fans any more emotional than the ending of Toy Story 3, which many felt was a fitting conclusion that series should've been left on. However Tim Allen and Tom Hanks have teased how much they cried playing out the scenes from the end of this movie, so fans might want to get their tissues ready. Whether this means Woody may actually stay behind this time and separate from Buzz and the rest of the group remains to be seen, but its something certainly hinted at in the trailer. There will also be some flashbacks to their days with their original owner Andy, some I'm sure that'll get the tears going for the generation who grew up on the original two.

New Trailer For 'Avengers: Endgame' Shows Us The Team Is Finally Reunited To Do "Whatever It Takes"

Never underestimate the unpredictability of the Russo brothers. On a regular Thursday morning, with no lead up or teases like we usually get for this kind of stuff, the directing duo decided to release the last trailer for next month's Avengers: Endgame. As you'd expect, the trailer only reinvigorates the hype fans have waiting to see the conclusion of the events that took place in Infinity War. While we've already known for some time not to expect much from the footage we'd be getting from this movie's marketing, as supposedly it'll only be from the first fifteen minutes. If this is true, then a lot of this trailer's big moments and reveals happen at the beginning of the movie, so we can only imagine what takes place during the rest of it. 

Below is the official trailer for Avengers: Endgame:

The trailer starts with some nostalgic call backs to the original solo movies for Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, reminding us how far each of these characters have come and everything they've been through. We again see Tony Stark stranded in The Benatar ship with Nebula seemingly accepting his fate, but we of course later see in the trailer that the two do in fact make it back to Earth teamed up with the original Avengers. Although its surprising to see that reveal in a trailer, it must not be one of the bigger moments in the movie if the Russos were willing to give it away here. We still don't know how they make it out exactly, so theres still that mystery to look forward to.

There's no actual footage of Thanos in the entire trailer, and not even a mention of his name which also caught many fans off guard. The impression this trailer gives is that this movie is more about the Avengers actual plan, rather than there last confrontation with Thanos, although I'm sure we'll eventually be getting that. There are some shots of a grizzled looking Captain America as well as Rocket Raccoon on War Machine's shoulder, and Nebula in a battle stance that all look like they could be from that exact moment, and the background even resembles a darker version of Thanos' home planet Titan.

We also get some shots that confirm the time jump we've been hearing about, as is made evident by the change in Natasha's hair color and length. Some have speculated this jump ranges from either months to years, and this is when Scott Lang eventually makes his way out of the Quantum Realm and is caught up to speed on what happened. This is also the time span where Hawkeye apparently goes through his arc into becoming Ronin following the loss of his family (And manages to give himself a bad haircut I guess). We get a tease of a possible reconcile of his relationship with Natasha, as well as a flashback of him training his daughter to possibly follow his footsteps as the next archer.

'Aladdin' Trailer Works To Relieve Fans Of Their Concerns Over Will Smith's Blue CGI Genie

Poor Will Smith man. We can't just let the guy enjoy his still relatively new Instagram in piece. Its been a tough couple of months for the actor, when his appearance as the Genie in the Super Bowl spot for Aladdin basically became an internet meme. Not only that, but he was also replaced by Idris Elba as Deadshot in the upcoming Suicide Squad sequel (Although that was supposedly his own decision). So its about time Will got the love we all know he deserves, and sure enough the new trailer for Aladdin finally does his portrayal of Genie justice. Its just about everything we expected Smith's Genie to be like when his casting was first announced, and finally put his comedic timing and positive energy to good use.

Its kind of crazy just how much the Genie has been the focus of this entire movie's marketing, rather than the actual story of Aladdin and Jasmine. I mean sure, we get some of that in here too, but audiences pretty much already know how all this is gonna play out (They made a movie of this in the 90s in case you didn't know). Anyway the real exciting part about this movie is how an actor as big as Will Smith was gonna succeed a legendary performance like that of Robin Williams. Thankfully, the crazy visuals from the cartoon look like they'll be making their way into this movie. While I doubt we'll be getting any impressions from Will like Robin was known for, the movie's going to make good use of his own specific sense of humor and personality judging by the trailer.

The CGI itself is also much improved, not looking nearly as fake and unsettling as it did in the TV spot. This fits more in line with the screenshot we saw of Will Smith's full sized Genie which looked much better than what was shown in the commercial, but the actor will also apparently be spending a decent amount of time in human form as well. The overall CGI for the set pieces in general looks much cleaner than it has in previous footage we've seen, and the overall tone feels much more fun and in line with the animated movie we all know and love.

The gripe fans do still have following this trailer is Jafar, is definitely much less theatrical and over the top villainous than he was in the original. The belief is that Guy Ritchie may have done this on purpose for his version of the character, maybe making him slightly more likable and younger as opposed to the creepy older man he was portrayed as in the animated movie. We also learned today that Alan Tudyk will be voicing his loyal servant bird Iago in the movie, so it'll be interesting to see how the relationship between the two of them compares to the original with this more subdued Jafar.

First Trailer For Seth Rogen's 'Good Boys' Gives Us An R-Rated Movie Starring A Trio Of Middle Schoolers

Lets face it. As great as it is to see relatively family friendly shows like Stranger Things portray kids as innocent, in the age of the internet a lot has changed. I vividly remember starting middle school and hearing just as much cursing and sex jokes as you'd see in your average rated R movie. So it was only a matter of time before filmmakers took notice, and who better to bring this to the big screen then Seth Rogen himself. Movies such as IT and Jonah Hill's Mid90s pushed the boundaries of having kids curse on screen, but both of those were set in past decades. Now we get a trio of kids who are exposed to just about everything bad you can imagine, all at the expense of some pretty hilarious moments. 

Below is the first trailer for Good Boys:

The trailer does pull any punches, showing us the movie will have its fair share of drugs, sex toys, and even a hilarious scene where the trio discovers porn for the first time. The movie star Jacob Tremblay who you may remember as the young boy who starred in The Room opposite Brie Larson, and caught the eye of critics when awards season came around. The mini Craig Robinson who see in the trailer is none other than Keith Williams, who starred on the TV series The Last Man of Earth. And lastly the foul-mouthed freckled kid I predicted will be the breakout star of the movie is Brady Noon, known for his work Boardwalk Empire.

So as you can tell this isn't a Disney Channel movie, but rather something more in line with Rogen's work on Superbad. The intro alone makes light of just how young the film's stars are, by explaining they can't even watch their own red band trailer. The chemistry between the kid is what really sells the trailer, and you can already make out their individual personalities. You have the innocent mama's boy freaking out about everything crazy the see, the average kid just reacting to everything, and the dirty mouthed kid acting like he's more mature then he really is. Sure sounds like middle school to me.

While Rogen isn't actually starring in the movie, his involvement in the project alone should be enough to get comedy fans excited. The man's had great success in the last few years with film's like Sausage Party and Neighbors, and seems to be changing it up with each new movie. Rogen and his frequent collaborator Evan Goldberg are only producing the project though, and Gene Stupnitsky who worked on The Office will be in the director's chair. He'll be working off a script written by Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, the duo worked on the films Year One and Bad Teacher. While those last two project may not excite you as much as Rogen's, the film showed well at the South by Southwest festival hence the early marketing push for a move being released in August.
