While DreamWorks is already complete with their highly sucessful Shrek franchise, that doesn't mean the films characters are done for, atleast one of them isn't. Antonio Banderas will be returning as the smooth talking Puss in Boots, in his all new spin-off, and the trailer has been released before. But can Puss in Boots really be a fun film without the likes of Shrek, Feona, and Donkey?
Below is the long awaited trailer for Puss in Boots, telling you basically everything you need to know:While most people were expecting Puss in Boots to be more of a continuation of the Shrek series (Besides being a prequel), it's really an independent film of it's own judging by the trailer, which in my opinion is a good thing. While I can only hope this is more than just another animated hero 3D kids movie, but I have a feeling it probably is.
But besides the plot, Puss in Boots has a very interesting set of characters and voice actors, which could make audiences completely oblivious to the predictabe plot (See Rio for an example). The film features the likes of the hilarious Zack Galifianakis as Humpty Dumpty, Billy Bob Thorton as Jack, and Salma Hayek as Kitty Softpaws.
We really can't judge the movie souly by it's cast, but I think almost everyone can agree with me that the Shrek was really getting old, and it's great to see a character who was a bit over shadowed by Donkey throughout most of the series finally getting an interesting film.
What did you think of the Puss in Boots trailer?
