With all the action and kid friendly films coming out this summer, horror movie fans haven't had much to quench their thirst for a shockingly horrifying film. But Apollo 18 might just be the movie to satisfy your taste for a nail biting horror movie, and the all new trailer for the film just gives you more of a taste of what's in store.
For those who haven't been keeping track of Apollo 18 (Or actually thought NASA sent an Apollo 18 space craft), here's the plot summary for the film:
Officially, Apollo 17, launched December 17th, 1972 was the last manned mission to the moon. But a year later, in December of 1973, two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the US Department of Defense. What you are about to see is the actual footage which the astronauts captured on that mission. While NASA denies its authenticity, others say it’s the real reason we’ve never gone back to the moon.
Sound familiar? Apollo 18 is basically the same thing as Paranormal Activity, claiming the film is real, and was caught by cameras. The amateur feel of the film (Like Paranormal Activity) is what really helps the audience get a sense of realism, and the trailer below does just that:
With space related monster movies hitting big this summer (Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Super 8), it's be interesting to see how movie goers take in Apollo 18. After it's original release date of April 22nd, was pushed all the way to the end of summer on September 22nd.
What do you think of Apollo 18? Does it look like it can really give you the chills?
