Peter Jackson's all new Hobbit films have been two of the most hyped movies these past couple of years, and now it's finally pulling together. Finally the two release dates for the long awaited films have been released, as well as the subtitles for the films. You didn't just think they'd just call them The Hobbit Part 1 and 2, did you?
Journey, and Part 2 will be titled The Hobbit: There and Back Again. The second title isn't much of a suprise, because in the Hobbit novel Bilbo Baggins writes a book which just so happens to share the same name. The former will be hitting theaters December 14th 2012, while the latter hits December 13th 2013.
As most may know, the story of the Hobbit will be told in past tense, seeing Frodo Baggins (Elijah Woods) being told the story by an older Bilbo (Ian Helm). Most of the original cast will be retuning, such as Ian McKellen as a younger Gandalf the Gray, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, and Orlando Bloom as Legolas.
There have been recent casting for the past couple of weeks including British actors Stephen Fry as The Master of Lake Town, Lee Pace as King Thrandull, and Benedict Cumberbatch whose role has yet to be announced. It'll be interesting to see how the new cast will be in comparison to the previous batch of excellent stars from the first three films.
