Has The PS3's Halo Arrived!

Could it be? Halo for PS3.The Microsoft Xbox franchise might be arriving for rival console PS3. Xbox users want feel special anymore if this happens. But is this the same silly rumor we have all seen before, or is it different this time. Sony has made many attempts to make similar or even almost the same type of game but has failed to do so. In 2005 Time Magazine quoted Bill Gates saying that Sony's next-gen console will "walk into" the Xbox 360 follow-up to the best-selling sci-fi shooter. If you all can remember that was the year of the Xbox 360's launch. At the time Microsoft was getting ready to launch Halo 3 as soon as Sony launched the PS3.

Now back to present day, this never really did happen. I think gets just said these things to pressure Sony into screwing up their new console with last minute changes. One sign of a connection between Halo and the PS3 is the Little Big Planet Halo add-on. The fact that Sony is actually welling to advertise Microsoft's Halo is abnormal, especially considering has stubborn Sony is. After the rumor that Sony decline Microsoft's idea to let everyone with a PS3 and Xbox 360 play Modern Warfare 2 together online, Sony's gotten a bad rep. People believe Bungie the company that made Halo has split with Microsoft and is looking into partnering with one of their rivals. Unfortunately PS3 fans, Bungie may be the creator of Halo but Microsoft owns the rights to it. Just like people want to see Nintendo's Super Smash Bros on the PS3 or Xbox, people want to see Halo on PS3. But unfortunately there’s a 999999999999.99999% chance any of this will happen, so I'm warning you now don't get your hopes up.

Age Is But A Number

Most stars on kids TV shows are much older then there targeted audiences. Some stars as old as twenty. But why lie about there age? Simple, the networks want kids to relate with the characters. The more they relate the more viewers they get, the more viewers they get the more money they get. I'm not saying all kids TV stars are old enough to legally drink and vote, some are the same age as their characters, "SOME” Kids networks like Disney also pick ten year olds to play middle school kids to show a difference between their high school characters and their character's younger siblings. That’s Disney's business plan, it always has been and always will be. But is there a purpose to this business style?
Disney Channel and Nickelodeon are major participants in scam
Maybe they prefer older actors because they have more experience, or it might be just for looks. These older actors could have just fit the role better then any one else. Not too many TV shows now a day have a main character in middle school. The target is high school for some reason. Shows way back when, used to stay true to there age. Some shows like Fresh Prince of Bel-air, let actors keep their names for there characters. But now it is all about the money. Money, Money, Money. Kids would be crushed to hear that their favorite TV idol is really as old as their teacher or mom. So sad but no worries as long as kids don't read this post they will never know.

Most shows get canceled because their main actors quit. Why quit? Because their older and don't want to be on kid TV shows anymore. They grow out of it, just like anyone else would. The moral is sometimes kids networks are hiding things that they just don't want you to know. Rumors that Jason Earles is thirty four, or that the cast of Sonny With A Chance is in their twenties will never be proven because of the protection kids networks have. What happens in the studio stays in the studio. So whether will know that all this is true, probably not but we will always suspect something from them.

Top Ten Actors Of All Time

We gave you the best movies now it's time to unleash the greatest actors of all time. We know them and we have at least seen one of their films. So it's my pleasure to introduce to you the top ten actors of all time!

Blue People Invade The Big Screen Again

Every time I sit down on in front of the big screen, the blue people come out right on que. First Avatar now the Smurfs. That's right I said Smurfs, the classic cartoon is hitting the big screen. Katie Perry and Neil Patrick Harris announced they will be lending their voices to the movie. George Lopez, Alan Cummings, and Jonathan Winters are also set to be part of the cast. The movie is set to be released in July 2011. The movie is set to be in CGI which means the movie will probably be in 3-D. Now the real question is, is the whole movie going to be in CGI or is some of it going to be live action. A live action and animated mix is a little 80's/90,s to me. Movies like Who Framed Rogger Rabbit and Space Jam used this rare live action cartoon mix. For those of you wondering who the **** are the smurfs, then I will explain the story to you.

The Smurfs are blue creatures who live in the Medieval Times who have to deal with each other and humans. They also must deal with an evil wizard whose's life goal is to capture the cartoon. Nothing out of this world, just like any other cartoon. why make it a big screen film? People are starting to wonder if Hollywood is just desperate for ideas. So desperate that they will turn anything they find into a movie. Whether that's true or not, Sony has been working on this movie since 2003. The movie will be directed by Raja Gosnell the director of Home Alone 3, Big Momma's House, Never Been Kissed, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and several Scooby-Doo movies. The movie will be the first Sony Pictures Animation movie ever. The movie will not be a sequel to previous Smurf movies, Les Adventure des Schtroupfs and The Smurfs and the Magic Flute. The movie will include the following Smurfs; Papa Smurf, Gutsy Smurf, Grouchy Smurf, and Smurfette.

Smurfs aren't the only classic cartoons hitting the big screen. Popular cartoon classic Yogi Bear will also be hitting the big screen sometime this decade. The movie will most likely be in CGI and in 3-D like the Smurfs.
Many cartoons, books, and older movies, are being remade or made into new movies lately. Now this makes you wonder the question, are movie makers running out of ideas. What will happen when we run out books and old movies to turn into blockbuster hits. Will the quality of movies go down in the next ten years. Well don't worry about all this and enjoy any movie you see in the future.

Watchout Natal, PS3 Coming Your Way

Sony's Final Design for The Controller
WARNING. This post is targeted for PS3 users. I'm sure by now you have all heard of the new PS3 motion controller and are thinking "I'm not buying that". I thought the same thing until I saw the live video at this years E3. It's not just another Wii remote, it's a lot more advanced then that. The reason for the sphere on top is so that the Playstation Eye (a web cam attached to the PS3) can sense the remote. Sony said the one at E3 was a company prototype, and it's not necessarily the way the final product will look or work. Sony also said that you can't have a fun video game experience with no buttons ( criticizing Natal). Sony has delayed the release date of the controller until Fall. The controller or wand if you will is detected by the Playstation Eye and turned into a weapon or tool virtually on the screen. Also the ball on top changes color depending on what your doing. I think the device is somewhere between Natal and Wii Motion Plus.

Yes, Theres An App For That

American Idol vs Winter Olympics- The Viewer Magnets

During the last couple of weeks two major networks NBC and Fox have been competing to see who can  get the most viewers. Both networks have been broadcasting impotant TV programs, NBC has been playing the Winter Olympics while Fox has been playing the new season of American Idol. Both networks have a lot to make up for considering the fact that nether played the Super Bowl because it was CBS's turn for that.

I'm not saying CBS stole the show (because trust me thats the last thing could do) and I'm not trying to make this a NBC vs CBS vs Fox post, which I tend to do sometimes.Well actually this is one of those vs posts that I can't get enough of. Anyway back to our topic and forgive me for that side track, both the Winter Olympics and American Idol are known for getting many viewers. But did they enough, if so who got the most.
This will be answered after the break. Just messing with you, statistics show the Winter Olympics

Editorial: Why I Don't Believe James Cameron Is The New Steven Spielberg

Avatar director James Cameron has become one of the most well known directors of our generation. From his work on Titanic and Terminator Judgement Day to his work on Avatar, there's no stopping this guy at what he does best. But has James Cameron reached the level of one of the greatest director who ever lived; Steven Spielberg. In most cases directors and actors don't like being compared to previous occupants in their field, but in this case I think Cameron can make an exception. But the question is, is this comparison really reasonable? I certainly don't think so.

Born in Ontario, Canada, Cameron has been in the movie making business for a while now. Similar to Spielberg, both directors mostly enjoy the Sci-fi category. Spielberg earned the greatest honor when he was invited to the White House by the president at the time Ronald Reagan to see a viewing of E.T. I don't see Cameron and Obama watching Avatar together in the White House. Spielberg created very popular movies, some even included on numerous Top 25 Movies lists. He created movies such as Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler's List, and more. All of them classic looked upon now as shining examples to other directors of their respective genre. Cameron doesn't have such a large background of movies like Spielberg, but there's no denying he's still got a pretty impressive resume.

Cameron has created thrillers like Aliens, Terminator and it's sequel Judgement Day, The Abyss, and the financial hits Avatar and Titanic. But unlike Spielberg, Cameron doesn't have a background in cartoons or video games. Spielberg created the cartoons Pinky and the Brain, Tiny Toon Adventures, Aimaniacs, Freakazoid!, and Toonsylvania. While also creating the cartoon movies American Tail and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Recently Spielberg has created the Wii games Boom Blox and Boom Box Bash Party. While Cameron hasn't expanded into the cartooning or gaming field yet, after realizing that sequels make big bucks Cameron is planning on making an Avatar 2 and 3 in the near future. Cameron has turned down some important directing jobs such as the original Spider-Man movie he was set to direct in the 90s, and after Sam Raimi decided opt out of directing Spider-Man 4, the job was offered to Cameron, but he turned down the job saying "He isn't a sloppy second". That's not exactly the mentality you want to hear from a director who should be looking to expand his future films from just more Avatar sequels.

In other words, Cameron isn't at the same level as Spielberg by a long shot. Why you ask? Well Cameron has been a director for about the same amount of time as Spielberg, really reaching his highest point in the 90s, directly succeeding Spielberg's streak in the 80s. While Cameron has made some great films in the process of his career, Spielberg hasn't missed a step through all of his years of directing. His diversity in film making is unparalleled by any other current director, as he's made such Sci-fi classics as E.T. and Close Encounters With The Third Kind, adventure films like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jurassic Park, and then went on to make compelling and emotional dramas such as Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List. That's something Cameron wishes he could say, but sadly can't. Spielberg has inspired countless modern day directors from J.J. Abrams (Star Trek) to Neill Blomkamp (District 9) all the way to David Fincher (Fight Club). Spielberg is the shining example of the perfect film maker, while James Cameron is just really an influential director for this generation, but I can really only see him actually serving as an inspiration for a hand full of aspiring directors.

So where ever their careers may take them (or have already taken them) both are outstanding directors with amazing work, and I hope to see many more films from the two of them in the near future. But ultimately Cameron just isn't at Spielberg's level, but maybe some day another director will be.

It Only Does, Everything

Starting on Febuary 28 the Playstation Network experienced some problems and the server crashed. The slim models were unaffected. The PS3's internal clock reconized this year as a leap year so the station thought it was Febuary 29 instead of March 1. Eventually the console actually fixed itself, it only does EVERY THING! By now all consoles should be restored, but if you did have errors they were probally related or were the ones below:
Errors included:

1)The date of the PS3 system may be re-set to Jan 1, 2000.

2)When you try to sign in to the PlayStation Network, this

message appears on the screen; “An error has occurred. You have been

signed out of PlayStation Network (8001050F)”.

3)When you try to launch a game, the following error message appears

on the screen and the trophy data may disappear; “Failed to install

trophies. Please exit your game.”

4)When you try to set the time and date of the system via the

Internet, this message appears on the screen; “The current date

and time could not be obtained. (8001050F)”

5)You are not able to play back certain rental video downloaded from the

PlayStation Store before the expiration date.

These were the most common errors but were not sure if you were affected or not. If you are an old model owner and you weren't affected then you got yourself a SUPER PS3. If your console was affected then don't worry so was half of the planet's. And if your slim had the problem then you might want to get that checked out. Leave us comments about any rare problems your PS3 had. Enjoy your PS3, while it lasts. Just kidding, but if you are scared of a problem like this happenig again then maybe swithing to another console would be the right thing to do.
