Heath Ledger's Joker Could Be In The Dark Knight Rises

According to Showbiz Boy, there are reports saying that using a variety of cut scenes and CGI technology, The Joker my return for Batman 3. Could this be the best way to connect the two movies, or a recipe for fan base disaster.

Here's a quote from Showbiz Boy:

“The idea is to use these fragments of cut scenes and use CGI to have The Joker appear one last time…Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker…It would only be a fleeting moment in the movie and would only be included with the full consent of Heath’s family.”

Here's the way Screen Rant's Kofi Outlaw envisioned the scene himself:

I myself have proposed…a cinematic nod to The Joker – much like Iron Man did with War Machine. Picture: You do a scene where a main character (Batman) walks past The Joker’s padded cell in Arkham Asylum and all we see are his eyes, or maybe just his lipstick grin through a window. In the end, that main character keeps on his/her way, not yet ready – both literally and metaphorically – to “open that door” just yet. Cue a voice-over of Heath’s nasally laugh… It’s really the most honest, yet entertaining, way to address this sticky situation.

Well first of all, just to make it clear, Moviehole has talked to Warner Bros. about the rumor saying “It’s just not real.” But in the case that they would've have brought back the old Joker, even though Heath Ledger's dead, would've made the film trilogy's timeline flow much better.

Some fans of Ledger's Joker believe that it wouldn't be right to have an actor replace or use technology to have him come back. Other's believe the old Joker was so amazing that he must return. An idea that was presented was having Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who has a striking resemblance to Ledger, step in to the Joker's shoes.

Well whether you were pro the Jokers return or completely against it, it is confirmed that in Heath's honor the Joker will not return for the Dark Knight Rises.

What would you have thought of Heath Ledger's Joker making a cameo in The Dark Knight Rises?
